1. Introduction

Nuyis Go respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide during registration (name, email, phone, address), location data during deliveries, payment details processed by Paystack, and device information for app functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to facilitate deliveries, process payments, provide customer support, send order updates, improve our services, and ensure platform security.

4. Location Data

We collect real-time location data during active deliveries to enable tracking and route optimization. You can disable location services when not using the app, but this may limit delivery functionality.

4a. Identity Verification (KYC) Data

To comply with Nigerian financial and transport regulations, and to keep the platform safe, we collect identity verification (KYC) data from customers, riders, and mini-pickup drivers. This includes:

  • Government-issued ID type and number (NIN, Driver's License, Passport, or Voter Card).
  • A photo of your government-issued ID document.
  • A live selfie captured on your device, including short liveness checks (blink, head turn) used only to confirm the selfie is of a real person in real time.
  • For riders and mini-pickup drivers: vehicle make, model, colour, plate number, and a vehicle photo.

How this data is used: solely to verify your identity, confirm your eligibility to use the platform (including as a delivery partner), prevent fraud and impersonation, and meet our legal obligations. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with other users.

Who can access it: only authorised Nuyis Go review staff and our backend systems. ID images, selfies, and vehicle photos are stored in access-controlled, private storage and are not publicly accessible.

Retention & deletion: KYC data is retained while your account is active and for the period required by applicable Nigerian record-keeping laws. You can request deletion of your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone → Delete my account, which permanently removes your KYC documents, selfie, and vehicle photos along with the rest of your account data.

Biometrics: our liveness checks operate only at the moment of capture and do not build a persistent face-recognition template. The selfie image itself is stored only for manual review and comparison with your ID.

5. Data Sharing

We share necessary information with riders to complete deliveries (pickup/delivery addresses, contact numbers). We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Payment data is handled by Paystack under their privacy policy.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your personal information.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also object to certain processing activities. Contact support to exercise these rights.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

9. Children's Privacy

Nuyis Go is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
